Families at Redeemer
At Redeemer we love having families as part of the church!
Children
We're really excited that children can understand the Bible and grasp the Good News about Jesus from a very young age, and it's a real joy and privilege for us to support families in teaching their children about Christ.

Sundays
Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of our Sunday Service for the welcome, some songs and a children's talk. We really value worshipping God all together as a church family.

After the first part of our Service, primary aged children join ‘Explorers’ where they enjoy Bible teaching, fun games and crafts. Explorers runs during term-time. All our children's team are DBS checked and have regular safeguarding training.

Pre-school aged children and babies are welcome to stay in for the rest of the service, but there is a room available which parents are free to use at any point and remain with your child. You will still be able to hear the service through a speaker.

Around once a month, children stay in with their families for the whole service. This is a special time, worshipping the Lord all together. During the sermon, we provide a sheet to help the children engage with what they're hearing, as well as Bible-based colouring/puzzle sheets.

What if my child has special educational needs?
We love having all children at Redeemer church and want to help each one grasp the gospel for themselves. In Explorers, we use a visual timetable for each session which helps all the children know what to expect. Please do speak to one of the team if your child has anything specific that would help them or us to know them better.
Holiday Bible Club
In the summer, we run Holiday Bible Club - with Bible stories, singing, games, craft and more! Open to all primary aged children. Find out more here!

Easter
We have Easter Services for all ages and run events (such as Easter Window Trails) for all the family to enjoy and find out more about the message of Easter.

Christmas
At Christmas we enjoy Carols by Candlelight and Christmas Carol Services - all ages together. We also run Christmas events (such as a Children's Christmas Party).
